MIQUEL SUAY

Valencian designer born in Xátiva (Spain). He studied at “The School of Art & Trades” and later took up studies in Law. He also has a Master in Business Administration from the Lluis Vives Business School.

From an early age lived in an artistic familiar atmosphere and always linked with fashion business. Soon he begins to participate in a very actual way on the family-run company, taking over the creative direction and totally oriented towards the culture of beauty.

On 1999 open his own tailoring and ceremonial boutique in Valencia. Currently his collections can be found on more than 150 exclusive sale points along Italy, Portugal, Russia, Turkey, Germany, China and Spain, and also has a Showroom with press and communication departments in Madrid and Paris.
Presents its collections at 080 Barcelona Fashion, Valencia Fashion Week, Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week, Barcelona Bridal Week-080 and Showroom Brandery Barcelona.

Is an usual collaborator of designers like Devota & Lomba, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Javier Larrainzar.

At present he is the vice-president of “DIMOVA” (Valencian Fashion Designer Association), also pertains to different textile associations like: AITEX (InstitutoTecnológico Textil), ASEPRI (Spanish Association of Children’s Products) & GRECOTEX (Valencian Guild pf Textile Merchants).Miquel Suay´s received several awards for his career in the fashion world.

Amongothers:

-. COMMERCIAL IMAGE AWARD. Granted by Valencia´s City Hall.
-. Miquel Suay´s project has been selected as one of the 50 succesful companies of Valencia´s community by the Regional Industry Ministry and Valencia´s Commerce Chamber.

Miquel Suay appears in magazines like: VOGUE, COLLEZIONI UOMO, TELVA, ELLE, CUORE, STYLELAB MAGAZINE, MUSTMAG, FASHIONMAG, HOLA Spain, GG GLAMOUR, DT, MAN, FHM, SQUIRE, WOMAN, PUNTO MODA and NEO2.Invited to perform a fashion show on the TV program “Supermodelo” on channel “Cuatro”. He has collaborated as a stylist in films like “ Al final del camino”, “Mentiras y Gordas”, “3:19” and “D.D. Hollywood” from Bigas Luna.

Presenter on:
• 1st National Congress of Technologies applied to textile and clothing. Promoted by ATEVAL with the collaboration of AITEX and FEDECON.
• Invited by “The College of Art & Design” as a presenter on the design conference“DIALEGS” with the presentation “Towards a new masculinity”.
• Participated on “Men with Skirt” event by Roger Salas, during the “Sagunt a escena” festival.
